Mr.Bence Major is currently Deputy Head of Unit B.1 in DG Agriculture and Rural development in the European Commission and deals with economic programs of the CAP such as direct payments, risk management, sectorial interventions and productive investments. After joining the Commission in 2005 he occupied diverse positions as expert on import regimes, direct payments, greening and WTO domestic support. He then became a Team Leader on market measures for arable crops and an assistant to Deputy Director General Joost Korte, before becoming a Deputy Head of Unit for greening, cross-compliance and SANTE relations
